Acadian’s response to Hurricane Francine
September 16, 2024
Following Hurricane Francine’s landfall, our Acadian team established a forward operating base (FOB) at our administration building in Thibodaux, LA. The FOB included shower, restroom, laundry and cooking trailers, along with fuel trailers and a generator, for use by medics working in our Bayou Region, which was widely impacted from the storm. In addition, we deployed a high water rescue vehicle to the FOB.
Acadian’s investment into disaster response assets was focused on assisting operations in areas impacted by extreme weather and improving morale for on-duty first responders. The assets have been used following multiple hurricanes and weather events since 2020.
