Safety Management Systems welcomes Nick Guidry as its new Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Manager. A native of Vermilion Parish, Nick served in the United States Navy before returning to Lafayette to earn his associate degree in industrial technology. Nick has over 20 years of experience in the health, safety and environmental field on both sides of the oil & gas industry working for a major oil operator and contractor companies. Most recently, he served as a QHSE manager for an environmental and CMT testing company’s 25 branches across the Southeast.
With Safety Management Systems, Nick will oversee HSE and quality functions, focusing on the implementation and sustainability of HSE and quality management systems. He works closely with SMS operations, ensuring compliance of internal and customer requirements for HSE and quality as it relates to governmental and company standards and best practices.
