Acadian Air Med has announced the promotion of Zachary Dubroc to Chief Flight Nurse. In his new role, Dubroc provides clinical leadership and oversight for Air Med operations across Louisiana. His responsibilities include managing the division’s onboard blood program, leading new-hire orientation, directing flight line training, and overseeing ongoing employee education and clinical competency development.
Dubroc, a native of Hessmer, Louisiana, brings a strong background in critical care and emergency medicine to the position. He began his EMS career as an EMT, then became a paramedic and served patients across Avoyelles Parish. He joined Acadian Air Med in 2018 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2021.
His clinical experience includes a year in the emergency department and nearly four years in the Intensive Care Unit at CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. In 2022, Dubroc transitioned to an Air Med float nurse, providing clinical coverage at bases across the state. Most recently, he served as an Associate Quality Improvement Supervisor, a role he took on in 2024 to help strengthen clinical standards and improve processes across the division.

Dubroc holds an Associate of Applied Science in Paramedic Studies in addition to his BSN. He also holds several credentials in critical care and transport medicine, including Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN), and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
