Acadian Ambulance is proud to join the nation in celebrating National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, taking place from May 18-24, 2025. This week is dedicated to recognizing the extraordinary contributions of EMS professionals who provide critical, lifesaving care to our community every day.

EMS professionals are the first responders who answer the call during emergencies and provide immediate medical care and transport to those in need. Ground and flight paramedics, EMTs, EMRs, flight nurses, community and remote paramedics, van operators, dispatchers, instructors, and support staff all work tirelessly, often under challenging and high-pressure circumstances. Their dedication, skill, and compassion make a significant difference in the lives of countless individuals.

“EMS professionals are on the front lines during critical incidents, delivering essential medical support with proficiency and compassion,” said Acadian Ambulance President Justin Back. “We are incredibly grateful for their service and sacrifice.”

This year’s theme — “We Care. For Everyone.” — recognizes the dedication of EMS personnel on medicine’s front line.

“We encourage all residents to take a moment during EMS Week to express their gratitude to the EMS professionals in our communities,” said Acadian Ambulance CEO H. Eddy Dupuis. “Their commitment to serving others deserves our deepest appreciation.”

About National EMS Week

National EMS Week was established in 1974 to recognize the dedication of EMS professionals and the vital role they play in our healthcare system. It is a time to honor their service, promote public safety, and educate the community about the importance of emergency medical services.
