Medical Insurance

Acadian offers excellent health insurance at low premiums for our full-time employees. We offer employee, employee+spouse, employee+child(ren) and family plans under two health insurance options: the Base PPO plan with Flexible Spending Account option and a High Deductible PPO plan with Health Savings Account option. Both plans are administered by Blue Cross and Blue Shield with a national provider directory.

You will save money if you use an in-network provider. To find an in-network provider, visit the BCBS website or call (833)-584-1830. You can find more information about finding in-network providers here. When you need immediate care for common health concerns, you can call or video chat with board-certified physicians at no charge to you.

Teladoc

Teladoc is included in our benefits! The service gives employees and eligible dependents enrolled in Acadian’s health plan 24-hour access to board-certified physicians via phone, web or mobile app — no matter where you are and with no out-of-pocket expenses.

Teladoc doctors can resolve common medical issues through the secure app, which is available on-demand, around-the-clock. Because Teladoc services are free to you and your family, you will save time and money by not going to the E.R. or doctor’s office.

Teladoc is an easy, convenient and affordable option for quality medical care and can be used as an alternative to urgent care and ER visits. Just pick up the phone and talk to a doctor, anytime, for free!

Teladoc physicians can diagnose and write prescriptions for many health issues, like cold and flu symptoms, bronchitis, allergies, ear infections, rashes and skin problems, and more, saving you time and money.

If elected, health insurance coverage goes into effect on the first of the month following 30 days of full time employment. Acadian’s health insurance plans also include an eye exam under the wellness benefit.

To add dependents (legal spouse, child(ren) under age 26, etc.) to your plan, you must provide proof of eligibility, which can be a birth certificate or adoption document, legal marriage certificate, etc. A spousal surcharge is added if the employee’s spouse is eligible for insurance through his/her employer, but declines that employer’s plan and elects Acadian’s plan instead. The spousal surcharge does not apply if both spouses work for Acadian.
