Acadian Companies has announced a series of leadership transitions within its Human Resources department, including the recent retirement of Vice President of Human Resources, Joe Lightfoot, and the promotions of Krista Gravouia to Vice President of Human Resources and Allyson Duck to Director of Human Resources. 

During Lightfoot’s 25-year tenure, he has played an invaluable role in Acadian’s growth and success, overseeing the expansion of our workforce from 1,500 to more than 5,500 employees. Lightfoot has guided all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee relations, policy development and implementation, and regulatory compliance. 

“Joe has been a key part of our leadership team and a guiding force who directly impacted our growth and success,” said CEO Eddy Dupuis. “His knowledge and skill instilled a new level of professionalism in all aspects of the Human Resources functions and will leave an indelible mark on our company’s history.”

Gravouia assumed the role of Vice President of Human Resources. Gravouia brings more than 25 years of HR experience, is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR), and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Museum of Acadiana. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Management from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, and previously served as Director of Human Resources.

Duck was promoted to Director of Human Resources after serving as HR Manager. She has 18 years of experience across human resources, insurance, and investments, including 14 years in roles throughout Acadian. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from the University of Louisiana, an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, and is a certified PHR.
