Acadian Health, a leading provider of hospital-at-home services, has resumed full operations following the reopening of the federal government and the reinstatement of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) waiver program.
During the federal government shutdown, many hospital-at-home programs across the country were temporarily paused due to the lapse of CMS waivers that authorize hospital services at home. With the government now reopened, Acadian Health is working closely with partner hospitals and health systems to continue providing services and treating patients in the comfort of their homes.
“We’re excited to be fully operational and continuing to provide hospital-level care directly in patients’ homes,” said Jeremy Coombs, Acadian Health Senior Director.
Acadian Health’s hospital-at-home model provides patients with comprehensive, 24/7 care equivalent to an inpatient hospital stay. Services include on-demand critical care, daily rounding, advanced diagnostics, and continuous coordination between in-home providers and hospital care teams.
Acadian Health currently has 125 mobile integrated health providers supporting hospital-at-home programs in seven states. The company is actively providing services to meet its forecasted 35,000 patient visits for 2025.
