Acadian Receives Community Foundation of Acadiana Leader In Philanthropy Award

At Community Foundation of Acadiana’s (CFA) annual awards luncheon on Friday, November 11, 2016, Acadian was honored with the Leader in Philanthropy Corporate Award, for their outstanding corporate philanthropy.

Acadian Chairman & CEO Richard Zuschlag accepted the award on behalf of the company from Raymond Hebert, CFA President & CEO, and Kam Movassaghi, CFA Vice-Chair. Zuschlag also introduced the luncheon’s keynote speaker, Ralph de la Vega, Vice Chairman of AT&T Inc.

Chevron’s Gulf of Mexico Business Unit also received a corporate award. Nominations for all awards were submitted by the community and CFA’s past board of directors made final selections.

“Our company’s mission is Knowing Life Matters, and we live it through the services we provide to millions every day and through our community involvement. We are proud to support so many organizations within our community, and to be able to help the lives of so many,” Zuschlag said.

“In addition to our giving as a company, we are most proud of our employees’ contributions of time and talent to organizations and initiatives of their choosing,” he continued.

Individual awards were given to Peggy & John Daniel Gielen, III; Anita M. Fontenot; Phil & Reneé Haney; James Devin & Ruth Moncus; Sue Soileau Brignac; Roy & Catherine Poché; Dr. Alan M. Hoberman & Dr. Mildred  S. Christian (1942-2009); and N. R. Broussard.
