At the Acadian Companies annual meeting and awards ceremony on May 7, 2024, Maintenance Technician Kordel Andrews was recognized as Acadian Companies’ Support Department Employee of the Year.
Andrews joined Acadian in 2020 and works out of the New Orleans office. Acadian has more than 60 maintenance technicians across its four-state service area. As part of the fleet maintenance department, technicians inspect and repair company vehicles, perform preventive maintenance on the ambulance fleet, perform mechanical related repairs and electrical repairs, and drive vehicles as needed.
“Kordel approaches his role as a fleet maintenance technician with a helpful spirit. He constantly goes above and beyond to assist anyone, from other technicians to crew members,” said Acadian Companies Executive VP and CAO Blaise Zuschlag. “Kordel will not let a crew member get into a unit he has worked on until he feels everything was completed and the unit is in the best condition. He will come in on his days off to make sure a unit is ready for a crew the following day.”
Acadian’s support departments assist its seven divisions, and the winner is chosen from all employees in Acadian Client Services, Accounting/Payroll/Payables, Electronics, Executive Assistants, Facility Maintenance, Fleet Maintenance, Information Technology, Materials Management, Runners, Legal/Risk Management, HSE, Wellness, and Public Relations & Marketing.
