Safety Management Systems was proud to host KLFY anchor Rob Macko at our training facility in Lafayette, Louisiana. He observed and spoke with workers taking a Helicopter Underwater Training (HUET) course, then put on a suit to test out our METS unit himself.
“They actually ditch into the pool and they have been trained on the steps and procedures to be able to hopefully evacuate that helicopter in a safe way,” Chris Broussard, training center supervisor, tells Macko.
