Acadian’s Executive Vice President & Chief Legal Officer, Allyson Pharr, was recently featured by One Acadiana’s South Louisiana initiative as a female leader who embodies the spirit of South Louisiana. The group featured several inspiring women in the Acadiana area who shared their experiences, advice and insights that can help encourage women and girls to be leaders in their lives, in their communities and beyond.

Allyson joined Acadian in 2001 and has oversight responsibility for the legal & risk management, governmental affairs and public relations departments. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1990 and her Juris Doctorate in law from Louisiana State University’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1993.

In the feature, Allyson said, “I love South Louisiana for the same reason I believe so many people do—with few exceptions, you are treated like family. That means that women are respected as a pivotal member of the family and that bleeds into the workplace.”
