Acadian Companies has promoted Michael Burley to Director of Quality Improvement and Clint Braud to Quality Improvement Manager.

Acadian’s Quality Improvement department focuses on building and maintaining organizational excellence in clinical standards, patient care and education. The quality improvement team works closely with medics to ensure that safety and industry standards are met.

Burley, who most recently served as Quality Improvement Manager, joined Acadian Ambulance in 2007 as an EMT. He has also worked as a paramedic, associate quality improvement coordinator and quality improvement coordinator. 

As the department’s director, Burley will report directly to Acadian Chief Medical Officer Dr. Chuck Burnell and will work with the entire quality improvement team and oversee the clinical documentation auditing team to develop, implement and evaluate quality improvement initiatives.  

He was named as Acadian Companies’ 2020 Support Departments Employee of the Year and is currently enrolled in Leadership Youngsville. He is a resident of Youngsville, LA.  

Braud is a 21-year veteran of Acadian Ambulance and currently serves as Quality Improvement Coordinator in the Baton Rouge region. He has previously worked as an EMT, paramedic, critical care paramedic, flight paramedic and paramedic field supervisor. Braud will work with Dr. Burnell, Burley and the quality improvement team.

Braud is a resident of Prairieville, LA. In 2015, he received the Dr. Eugene Nagel Award of Excellence. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Unified Public Safety Administration from Northwestern State University.
